Inghams in Prestons, NSW, is seeking an experienced forklift operator to join our warehouse team. You will operate high-reach and counterbalance forklifts, use RF scanners, and handle pallet and unit picking in a fast-paced distribution environment.

We value safety, reliability, and teamwork as you help ensure timely, accurate order fulfilment. Availability for various shifts including days and afternoons, and potentially nights, is preferred.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one year of high-reach and counterbalance forklift experience.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
• Ability to operate double-deep forklifts.
• Experience using RF scanners to manage picking and packing.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team.
• Good communication and reliability.
• Physically able to lift 5kg-15kg and work shifts including weekends/holidays.

Aufgaben

• Forklift operating (high reach) with one year experience and counterbalance.
• High-reach forklift operation in multi-level bays.
• Pallet and unit picking/packing with RF scanning and forklifts.
• Complete manual handling duties.
• Work in freezer/chiller environments.

Daily Tasks

• Forklift operating (High reach experience is a must) - at least one year experience with both (counterbalance also)
• High-reach forklift operation in some areas, 7 bays high, single bay deep
• Both pallet and unit picking and packing using RF scanning and high-reach RC and RM forklifts for both warehouse and truck loading/unloading operations
• Completing manual handling duties
• Working within a freezer/chiller environment
• Storing and maintaining materials, equipment, and tools
• Identifying and escalating Food Safety & Quality, hazard, and risk issues to the relevant leadership teams

You will bring to this role

• Previous RC and/or RM stand-up forklift experience desirable
• Warehouse and/or Distribution experience or similar required
• Previous experience operating double deep forklifts
• Experience with RF scanners
• Understand and follow instructions and procedures
• Work well independently, within a team environment
• Communicate well both written and verbally
• Showing commitment, reliability, and motivation
• Respond calmly when faced with obstacles
• Physically fit and repetitively lift 5kg-15kg
• Flexibility to cover various shifts such as regular weekend work and public holidays
