Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, lift, stack and transport goods within the warehouse.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage.
• Arrange and organize stored items according to established systems and company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of goods received, moved and dispatched.
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist with inventory management and stocktaking as required.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and comply with housekeeping standards.

Gazzola Farms Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehousing and distribution team in Boneo, VIC. This is a full‐time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our warehouse operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement, stacking, and storage of goods within our facility, ensuring that our distribution processes run smoothly and meet our operational targets. This role is essential to our supply chain operations and directly impacts our ability to deliver quality service to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, lift, stack, and transport goods throughout the warehouse
• Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring items are handled with care to prevent damage
• Arrange and organise stored items in the warehouse according to established systems and company procedures
• Maintain accurate records of goods received, moved, and dispatched
• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance checks on forklift equipment, reporting any faults or hazards to management
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with inventory management and stocktaking activities as required
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate warehouse activities
• Maintain a clean and organised work area and comply with housekeeping standards

What we're looking for

• Current and valid forklift licence (LF)
• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in material handling
• Ability to work safely and accurately under pressure, meeting warehouse productivity targets
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in a warehouse environment
