Job summary

Forklift Operator

Salary: $33- $36 per hour + Super (depending on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time Week Monday – Friday

We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Forklift Operator

to join our client’s team in Geelong. This is a key hands-on role responsible for supporting the day-to-day movement of materials and finished goods across the site, ensuring warehouse and logistics operations run safely and efficiently.

About the role

Working closely with the Logistics, Packaging and Operations teams, with a strong focus on forklift operations, loading and unloading trucks, stock movements and logistics administration. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on environment while also being confident working with systems, documentation and warehouse processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Safely operating forklifts to load, unload and move materials and finished goods
  * Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries, receipting and dispatch
  * Managing warehouse and logistics workflows to ensure efficient operations
  * Completing manifests, load documentation and logistics paperwork
  * Coordinating deliveries and follow-up actions with internal teams and drivers
  * Scanning delivery dockets and maintaining accurate system records
  * Maintaining organised warehouse and logistics documentation
  * Coordinating with Packaging and Operations teams on deliveries and production requirements
  * Supporting accurate stock control and warehouse inventory management
  * Managing pallets and recording pallet movements
  * Using SAP, Excel to manage logistics activities
  * Maintaining high standards of forklift, traffic and warehouse safety
  * Supporting truck loading and unloading activities
  * Identifying opportunities to improve safety, quality and efficiency
  * Ensuring logistics records and documentation are accurate and up to date
  * Working collaboratively with internal teams, drivers and stakeholders
  * Taking ownership of day-to-day logistics operations and ensuring goods move safely and efficiently

About you

• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing
  * Current forklift licence with strong practical forklift experience
  * Experience loading and unloading trucks and managing warehouse movements
  * Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  * Confident using systems such as SAP, Excel
  * A strong understanding of warehouse, stock control and logistics processes
  * A proactive, safety-focused and solutions-oriented approach
  * Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team
  * Strong communication skills and confidence working with drivers and internal stakeholders
  * Willingness to learn and take ownership of day-to-day logistics operations

Qualifications and experience

• Current Forklift Licence – essential
• Previous experience in logistics, warehousing
• Experience loading and unloading trucks
• Strong forklift operating experience
• Experience with warehouse and stock control processes
• SAP and Excel experience highly regarded
• Experience using logistics or inventory management systems
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
