Job summary

Chandler Recruitment in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse team in Footscray. The role focuses on moving stock, loading and unloading, and supporting accurate inventory control.

You will operate an LF forklift, assist with dispatch and stocktakes, maintain safety and housekeeping, and adapt to occasional freezer work. A reliable, detail-oriented mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of high-reach forklift operating experience.
• Current LF Forklift License (essential).
• Experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Reliable and safety-focused with good work ethics.

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join busy warehouse teams based in Footscray. This role is key to ensuring smooth warehouse operations, including stock movement, dispatch, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating an LF forklift to load, unload, and move stock

• Receiving and dispatching goods accurately

• Assisting with stock control and stocktakes

• Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse

• Following all safety and quality procedures

• Supporting the team to meet daily targets

• Assisting with unloading, loading, receivables, plant-to-plant transfers, and other general warehouse duties

• Occasional work in a -25°C freezer environment (PPE provided). The role will be primarily based in the ambient warehouse (approximately 80%), with freezer work required only occasionally

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of high-reach forklift operating experience

• Comfortable working in the morning

• Current LF Forklift License (essential)

• Previous warehouse or distribution experience
