Job summary

Altimate Foods Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable Warehouse Operator and Forklift Driver on a casual basis. The role covers safe forklift operation, receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock, plus general warehouse duties.

The successful candidate will hold a current forklift licence, have warehouse experience, be team‑oriented, and be flexible with shifts to meet business needs in Campbellfield VIC.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence (High Risk Work LF) is required.
• Warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is preferred.
• Strong focus on safe work practices and WHS obligations.
• Able to work well in a team and communicate clearly.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
• Good physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload and move stock and pallets.

Altimate Foods is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Warehouse Operator and Forklift Driver to join our warehouse team on a casual basis. This is a hands-on role responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts, the receiving, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of stock and general warehouse duties. The successful candidate will hold a current, valid forklift licence, bring proven warehouse experience, work well as part of a team, and be available to work flexible hours to meet the operational needs of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts (counterbalance and/or reach, as required) to load, unload, move and stack stock and pallets.
• Complete daily pre-operational checks on forklifts and other warehouse equipment and report any faults or hazards immediately.
• Receive incoming deliveries, check quantities and quality against delivery documentation, and store stock in designated locations.
• Accurately pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch within required timeframes.
• Maintain accurate stock records, including scanning and data entry as required, and assist with regular stocktakes.
• Keep the warehouse, equipment and work areas clean, tidy, organised and free from hazards.
• Work cooperatively with team members, supervisors and other departments to meet daily production and dispatch targets.
• Follow all Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies, procedures and safe work practices at all times, including correct manual handling and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Adapt to changing priorities and be available to work flexible hours, including early starts, late finishes and weekends as required by the business.
• Undertake other general warehouse and site duties as reasonably directed.

About you

• Current, valid forklift licence (High Risk Work Licence – LF class or equivalent).
• Demonstrated experience working in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
• Sound understanding of, and genuine commitment to, safe work practices and WHS obligations.
• Proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively as part of a team.
• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours, including variable shifts, early mornings, evenings and weekends as required.
• Good physical fitness and the ability to safely perform manual handling tasks, including repetitive lifting, bending and standing for extended periods.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills and attention to detail, particularly in relation to stock accuracy and safety.
