Job summary

Border Express is hiring an experienced Forklift Operator for our Albury branch in a full-time, permanent role. Set shift starts at 9:00AM with reliable weekly pay and the opportunity to work for a national transport company.

Duties include loading/unloading tautliners and trailers, parcel sorting, load checks, and basic paperwork, all while maintaining safety and a clean work area. Drug and Police checks are required.

Qualifications

• LF Forklift Licence is mandatory.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to operate independently and stay focused.
• Willingness to undergo Drug & Alcohol testing and Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload tautliners, PUD trucks and linehaul trailers.
• Sort parcels and handle freight as required.
• Check load restraints, packaging and freight condition prior to travel.
• Sort and stage freight safely and efficiently.
• Work with the team to keep freight moving through the depot.
• Complete basic paperwork and scan as needed.
• Keep work areas clean and follow safety procedures.
• Report damages to freight or forklift promptly.

Set shift: 9:00AM starts

Opportunity to work for a national transport company.

Duties:

Loading and unloading tautliners, PUD trucks and linehaul trailers.

Parcel sorting and freight handling when required.

Always check load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels.

Sorting and staging freight safely and efficiently.

Working with the team to keep freight moving through the depot.

Completing basic paperwork and scanning as needed.

Keeping your work area clean and following all safety procedures.

Report all damages to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately.

Skills and Experience:

LF Forklift Licence (required).

Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability.

Ability to work unsupervised.

Willingness to complete a Drug and Alcohol test as well as a National Police Check (paid for by Border Express).
