Job summary

Border Express is hiring a MR Driver for our Coffs Harbour branch. This permanent, full-time role covers local pickups and deliveries with a 5:30 AM start, Monday to Friday. You’ll secure loads, log PODs, and work with the depot team to ensure on-time deliveries while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• MR Licence is required.
• Excellent Driver History Report is expected.
• LF Licence is desirable but not essential.
• Strong local knowledge of Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas is important.
• Solid knowledge of Dangerous Goods and load restraint requirements is expected.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads properly every time.
• Complete PODs using PDA scanners.
• Perform pre-start checks and keep the truck and forklift in good condition.
• Coordinate with the depot team to keep freight moving safely and on time.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and professional presentation.
• Follow all relevant laws including DG, load restraint, fatigue management, and road regulations.

• Securing loads properly every time.
• Completing PODs using PDA Scanners.
• Doing pre start checks and keeping your truck and forklift are in good condition.
• Working with the depot team to keep freight moving safely and on time.
• Maintain a strong commitment to safety and professional presentation.
• Adhere to all relevant laws and legislation including load restraint guides, DG codes, fatigue management legislation, road laws and council regulations.

Skills and Experience:

• MR Licence.
• Excellent Driver History Report.
• LF Licence is desired but not essential.
• Great local knowledge of Coffs Harbour and surrounding areas.
• Sound knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements, Load Restraint requirements.

Willingness to complete a Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical (paid by Border Express).
