Job summary

Border Express in Geelong is seeking an experienced casual Parcel Sorter to join our busy branch, with early starts at 6:00 AM.

You will examine parcels, sort by postcode and destination, load/unload freight safely, and maintain processing records as required.

This role is casual with weekly pay, close to home, and offers opportunities within a national company; a pre-employment medical including Drug/Alcohol test and Police Check applies.

• High level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive lifting.
• Willingness to learn on the job.
• Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations.
• Reliable and hardworking with a good attitude.

Responsibilities

• Examine each parcel and allocate it into an appropriate area for delivery; via postcode, destination, and branch.
• Load/unload freight from pallets safely following correct manual handling processes.
• Complete and maintain parcel processing records and all required documentation.
• Communicate with your team and supervisors to meet schedules and escalate process/safety issues.
• Load freight onto a conveyor belt.
• Stack/wrap pallets and sort freight.

Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivated casualParcel Sorterto join the team at our busy Geelong branch.

Transparent pay rate - $35.76/hr + super (includes casual loading).

Casual role.

Early starts - 6:00AM.

Weekly, reliable pay cycle.

Work close to home.

Opportunity to join a busy, national company.

Duties:

Examine each parcel and allocate it into an appropriate area for delivery; Via Postcode, Destination, and Branch.

Ensure the manually load / unloadof parcels from pallets is done safely following correct manual handling processes.

Complete and maintain parcel processing records and all documentation associated as required.

Communicate amongst your team and supervisors to meet agreed schedules, and elevate any issues in relation to processes, safety and operations.

Loading/unloadingfreight onto a conveyor belt.

Stacking/wrappingpallets.

Sorting freight.
