Team Global Express is seeking a Driver/Dockhand based at Hobart Airport in Cambridge to perform local pickup and delivery of general freight, forklift duties, and depot operations with a strong focus on safety and customer service.

The role requires an MR Driver Licence, a Forklift Licence and experience in transport or logistics. Full working rights in Australia are required; duties include loading/unloading, freight checks, and documentation across Hobart local routes.

Qualifications

• A current MR Driver Licence.
• A current Forklift Licence.
• Experience in professional driving, transport, freight or logistics.
• Experience with local pickup and delivery operations.
• Strong understanding of safe driving practices and load restraint.
• Ability to load, unload, handle and secure general freight.
• Knowledge of Hobart and surrounding areas or ability to navigate local routes.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and responsible driving.
• Professional and customer-focused approach when dealing with customers and the public.
• Full working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled local pickup and delivery runs across Hobart.
• Safely operate an MR vehicle between the depot and customer locations.
• Complete multiple pickups and deliveries during each run.
• Load and unload general freight at the depot and customer sites.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload freight as required.
• Check freight against consignment details and delivery documentation.
• Ensure freight is loaded, secured and protected during transit.
• Perform pre-start and routine vehicle safety checks.
• Safely maneuver vehicles in depot yards, loading areas, customer premises, and confined spaces.
• Complete delivery documentation, freight scanning and proof of delivery requirements.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers and site contacts.
• Report damaged, missing or incorrectly addressed freight.
• Report vehicle defects, incidents, delays or other issues as required.
• Assist with freight handling and general depot operations between driving runs.
• Follow all company safety procedures, road laws and operational requirements.
