Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria is seeking experienced forensic clinicians to join the Barwon Precinct team. You will deliver evidence-based forensic interventions for individuals in custody and the community, within a multidisciplinary environment focused on safety and rehabilitation.

Working within a risk-needs-responsivity framework, you will conduct comprehensive assessments, clinical interviews, develop rehabilitation pathways, and prepare treatment plans and risk

Qualifications

• Eligibility to practice as a psychologist with AHPRA or equivalent
• Eligibility for professional associations relevant to psychology, social work or mental health nursing
• Advanced degree in psychotherapy or counselling is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive risk and needs assessments
• Perform clinical interviews to tailor rehabilitation pathways
• Deliver evidence-based forensic interventions
• Develop treatment plans and risk reports for stakeholders
• Collaborate in a multidisciplinary team within a correctional setting
