Job summary

The Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria is seeking experienced forensic clinicians to join a specialist program in forensic intervention. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services across custody and community settings.

Travel to correctional facilities is required; flexible work options and relocation are available.

Qualifications

• Hold or be eligible for psychology registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
• Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
• A master's degree in psychotherapy and registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
• A master's degree in counselling and membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or registration with PACFA.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based forensic intervention within a multidisciplinary team.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments including risk assessments.
• Develop person-centred rehabilitation pathways through clinical interviews.
• Deliver treatment programs including individual and group sessions.
• Prepare treatment plans, treatment reports and risk assessment reports for stakeholders.
