Train, motivate, and monitor the performance of all sales consultants
Achieve both internal and OEM sales objectives
Direct and schedule the activities of the sales team, ensuring proper staffing always
Maintain an accurate daily log that reflects all sales activities in the dealership
Ensure proper follow-up of all potential buyers using sales control systems
Introduce yourself to all customers that receive a quote, take a test drive or enquiry digitally as a second point of contact
Conduct daily and weekly sales meetings
Ensure that vehicle salespeople understand and follow dealership policies and procedures
Oversee the efforts of vehicle salespeople to enhance the image and customer satisfaction scores of the dealership
Work with salespeople on programs that will increase new-car gross and Finance penetration
Help salespeople negotiate, structure and close deals
Understand, keep abreast of and comply with regulations that affect vehicle sales
Ensure product knowledge training requirements are met
Review inventory daily to ensure the proper mix of grounded stock for maximum turnover efficiency
Direct advertising efforts for vehicle department in conjunction with the marketing manager
Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly
Conduct weekly audit of dealership website to ensure correct information and promotions are up to date.
Allocate digital leads ASAP and ensure speedy follow up
Thoroughly read and completely understand all manufacturer dealer plans, fleet programs, and monthly sales bulletins
Work closely with and have clear communication with all internal department such as service, parts, administration, finance, aftermarket, detailing and sub-contractors
Build and maintain a strong relationship with the manufacturer
The perfect candidate for this role must be highly motivated to achieve targets and be a team player. You must hold a full driver’s license, be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and be able to work a 5-day week and be available to work Saturday (closed Sunday).
