Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including the ability to incorporate the teaching of literacy and numeracy skills.

• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning with data-informed feedback to students and parents.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and collaborative relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Demonstrated behaviours consistent with Department values and ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• The role focuses on planning, preparation and teaching programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
• Gains experience to contribute to school program development beyond classroom teaching.
• Range 2 duties include mentoring staff, advising on pedagogy, and supervising student teachers.
• Range 1 duties include classroom delivery, policy development participation and induction activities.
• Responsibilities include direct teaching, curriculum development, and participation in parent/teacher meetings and staff activities.
