Brighton Secondary College is seeking an experienced classroom teacher to plan, prepare and teach programs aimed at achieving specific student outcomes. The role involves critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and practice, with opportunities to contribute beyond the classroom as experience grows.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the curriculum and ability to teach literacy and numeracy.
• Experience planning and implementing high-impact teaching strategies guided by student learning.
• Experience monitoring and assessing student learning.
• Ability to use data to inform teaching practice and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience collaborating with students, parents, colleagues and the school community.
• Commitment to professional learning and department values.

Responsabilités

• Direct teaching of groups of students and individual students.
• Contribute to development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or school program.
• Undertake other classroom teaching related and organizational duties as directed.
• Participate in parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions; other duties as required.
• Undertake non-teaching supervisory duties as needed.
