Respect is seeking a casual Food Services Assistant to work with our Chef or Cook, preparing and serving nutritious meals while upholding food safety and keeping kitchens and dining areas clean. You will rotate across a roster to support residents’ dining experiences.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course.
• Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services.

Responsabilités

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and safe food handling practices in kitchen and dining areas.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About the Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents, while maintaining high food safety standards and ensuring the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organised and welcoming.

This is a casual position and the successful candidate must be flexible to work across a rotating roster.

As Food Service Assistant you will:

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About You
