Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a kitchen assistant to prep food and beverages, keep the kitchen clean, and help refresh menus with residents. You’ll contribute to a food safety program and stay active during shifts. Aged care experience is a bonus and a Basic Food Handling Course is required.

Join a large, caring organisation and support residents with nutritious meals while developing your hospitality skills in a supportive team environment.

About the Role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do.

Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) - you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
