Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a kitchen-focused role in Australia to prepare meals and support residents with nutritious, tasty options. You will work with our team to deliver meals that cater to individual needs and preferences, while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities include menu variation, record-keeping under the Food Safety Program, and staying active throughout shifts. Prior kitchen experience, especially in aged care, and a Basic Food Handling Course are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus).
• Great time management and planning skills.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course.

About the Role

You’ll wake up each morning wanting to see people enjoy food as much as you do. Here’s what a typical day involves:

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
