Job summary

Estia Health is seeking a kitchen assistant in Australia to help prepare meals, assist with food service, and keep the kitchen clean and welcoming for residents.

You’ll work with the team to create meals that cater to individual needs, follow Food Safety procedures, and stay active on your feet for most shifts. A Basic Food Handling Course is preferred, and experience in kitchen work is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen work; aged care is a bonus.
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course.
• Good time management and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepping food and drinks.
• Cleaning (including dishes) – maintain a tidy kitchen.
• Assisting with menu changes to suit residents' preferences.
• Keeping records as part of the Food Safety Program.
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift.

About the Role

• Prepping food and drink
• Cleaning (including dishes) – you bring a sparkle to the place in more ways than one
• Changing up the menu. You’ll work with our team and residents to create exciting meals that cater to every individual
• Keeping records as part of our Food Safety Program
• Being active and on your feet for most of your shift

You’ll be a real team player who has:

• A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
• Experience in kitchen work (aged care is a bonus)
• Great time management and planning skills
• Completed the Basic Food Handling Course
