Respect Group Limited is seeking a Casual Food Services Assistant to join our regional Australia aged care facility. You will work with our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents while upholding food safety standards, in a close-knit team focused on dignity and genuine connection.

Based in a regional community, you will have opportunities to support across hotel services, including laundry and cleaning, with a positive and collaborative work culture.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Food Handling Course is required.
• Current National Police Check/NDIS clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Previous experience in residential aged care feed services is preferred.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn, with a compassionate approach.

Responsabilités

• Assist in menu planning to reflect residents’ needs and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments following the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain hygiene and safe food handling in kitchen and dining areas.
• Monitor temperatures and goods received; document as required.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.

About the Role

As a Casual Food Services Assistant, you’ll work alongside our Chef or Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents, while maintaining food safety standards and keeping the kitchen and dining areas running smoothly. Based in a regional community, this role offers a welcoming, close-knit team environment where everyone pitches in and your contribution is genuinely valued. There will also be opportunities to support across hotel services, including laundry and cleaning duties.

No two days are the same!

• Support menu planning to reflect residents’ needs, preferences, and dietary requirements.
• Prepare, serve, and present meals and refreshments in line with the Food Safety Program.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, including general cleaning and safe food handling practices.
• Monitor and record food safety requirements, including temperatures and goods received.
• Deliver meals with a friendly, respectful approach and report any food or beverage concerns to the Registered Nurse in Charge.
