Job summary

Jobtailor in Queensland, Australia, is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents in an aged care setting. You will work with the Cook to ensure meals are plated attractively and comply with Food Safety standards.

You will handle stock rotation, assist with ordering, and maintain high hygiene; deliver friendly service to residents and families, and report to the Chef Manager.

Qualifications

• Current National Police Check is required.
• Experience in a similar role within Aged Care is essential.
• Willingness to learn new skills and take initiative.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work as part of a team with the cook.
• Maintain excellent hygiene and knowledge of Food Safety Standards.
• Valid National Police Check and pre-employment medical assessment required.
• Must work in a smoke-free workplace.
