Job summary

Programmed Maintenance Services is seeking a motivated Laboratory Technician to join a food production environment where precision, quality and collaboration are valued.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Food Science and Technology or a Bachelor of Science with microbiology/chemistry/biotech focus, plus 1–3 years of microbiological testing experience and hands-on lab practice in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of microbiological testing experience.
• Experience with manufacturing/lab processes a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine microbiological and chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Adhere to HACCP and GMP site hygiene standards at all times.
• Accurately record, interpret, and report test results, escalating any anomalies as needed.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met.
• Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure testing supports operational targets.
• Contribute to a clean and safe working environment in both lab and factory areas.
