Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine microbiological and chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
  • Adhere to HACCP and GMP site hygiene standards at all times.
  • Record, interpret and report test results; escalate anomalies as needed.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure testing supports operational targets.
  • Contribute to a clean and safe working environment in both lab and factory areas.

Job description

We're on the lookout for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with previous experience in a food production or laboratory setting who is eager to contribute to a team that values precision, quality, and collaboration.

What We're Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a food factory environment-and a strong understanding of manufacturing and lab processes. You should be a team player with excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and the physical capability to meet the demands of the role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine microbiological and chemical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products
  • Adhere to HACCP and GMP site hygiene standards at all times
  • Accurately record, interpret, and report test results, escalating any anomalies as needed
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to ensure testing supports operational targets
  • Contribute to a clean and safe working environment in both lab and factory areas
About You:
  • Must have a Bachelor of Food Science and Technology or Bachelor of Science (majoring in Microbiology, Chemistry, or Biotech
  • MUST have 1-3 years of microbiological testing experience
  • Previous exposure to laboratory practices and procedures in a manufacturing context
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels of the business
  • Physically fit - capable of standing for extended periods and lifting weights as required
  • Demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
  • Committed to teamwork and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
