Job summary

ibis Styles Mount Isa in Mount Isa, Queensland, is seeking a part-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead Giuseppe’s Cantina's service and events.

You will work closely with the General Manager and kitchen team to supervise restaurant and bar operations, coordinate functions, manage service pace, and uphold food safety and RSA requirements. Availability evenings, weekends, and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising restaurant or bar teams.
• Experience coordinating functions or events.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and dietary requirements.
• Current RSA certification for Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant and bar service, providing clear direction and support to the team.
• Coordinate functions and events, from enquiries and planning through to delivery.
• Prepare and maintain banquet event orders, organise invoices and deposits, and communicate event details across departments.
• Work with the kitchen to manage the pace of service and communicate dietary requirements accurately.
• Handle guest enquiries and feedback with confidence and care.
• Train team members and oversee opening, closing and service preparation.
• Maintain food safety and responsible service of alcohol standards.

We’re looking for someone with restaurant supervision and events experience to help lead Giuseppe’s Cantina, our Italian-inspired restaurant. You’ll combine hands-on service with planning and coordination, making sure both everyday dining and special functions run smoothly.

Job Description

You bring restaurant or bar supervisory experience, along with experience coordinating functions or events. You’re organised, approachable and comfortable making decisions during a busy service.

You’ll also have:

• Attention to detail and reliable follow-through.
• A sound understanding of food safety and dietary requirements.
• A current RSA valid in Queensland.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
