Job summary

ibis Styles Mount Isa is seeking a part-time Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead Giuseppe’s Cantina and support events.

You’ll oversee restaurant and bar service, coordinate functions, and ensure food safety standards while delivering exceptional guest experiences. Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays is preferred—RSA in Queensland is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising restaurant or bar operations.
• Experience coordinating functions or events.
• Organised, approachable and capable of quick decisions during busy service.
• Current RSA valid in Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Lead restaurant and bar service with clear direction.
• Coordinate functions and events from enquiry to delivery.
• Prepare banquet orders, manage invoices and deposits, share details across departments.
• Collaborate with kitchen to pace service and communicate dietary needs.
• Handle guest enquiries and feedback with care.
• Train staff and oversee opening, closing and prep.
• Maintain food safety and responsible service of alcohol standards.

We’re looking for someone with restaurant supervision and events experience to help lead Giuseppe’s Cantina, our Italian‑inspired restaurant. You’ll combine hands‑on service with planning and coordination, making sure both everyday dining and special functions run smoothly.

Job Description

Working closely with the General Manager and kitchen team, you will:

• Lead restaurant and bar service, providing clear direction and support to the team.
• Coordinate functions and events, from enquiries and planning through to delivery.
• Prepare and maintain banquet event orders, organise invoices and deposits, and communicate event details across departments.
• Work with the kitchen to manage the pace of service and communicate dietary requirements accurately.
• Handle guest enquiries and feedback with confidence and care.
• Train team members and oversee opening, closing and service preparation.
• Maintain food safety and responsible service of alcohol standards.

Qualifications

You bring restaurant or bar supervisory experience, along with experience coordinating functions or events. You’re organised, approachable and comfortable making decisions during a busy service.

You’ll Also Have

• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Attention to detail and reliable follow‑through.
• A sound understanding of food safety and dietary requirements.
• A current RSA valid in Queensland.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
