Job summary

Wonthaggi Workmen's Club is seeking an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to lead all dining operations across our Bistro and Function Room, which together seat around 200 guests seven days a week.

You will work a flexible rotating roster, manage bookings, coordinate functions, train staff, and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Two years' management experience.
• Deliver food and beverage experiences that exceed patrons' expectations.
• Manage bookings, optimise floor plans and coordinate functions.
• Creativity, friendliness and outgoing demeanor with strong customer service.
• Lead a diverse team and stay calm under pressure.
• Train, motivate and mentor staff, lead by example.
• Resolve issues and handle complaints tactfully.
• Sound understanding of OHS requirements.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to join us full time and oversee all aspects of food and beverage service across our Bistro and Function Room, which together seat approximately 200 guests, seven days a week.

You'll work a flexible rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidays.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Have at least two years' experience in a management role
• Deliver food and beverage experiences that exceed our patrons' expectations
• Manage bookings, optimise floor plans and coordinate functions
• Be creative, friendly and outgoing, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service
• Lead a diverse team and stay calm and professional under pressure
• Train, motivate and mentor staff, and lead by example
• Resolve issues and handle customer complaints with tact and professionalism
• Have a sound understanding of OHS requirements
