Job summary

Tocumwal Golf & Bowls Club is seeking an experienced Duty Manager to lead daily operations across its restaurant, bars, gaming, and events. The role requires hands-on leadership, staff oversight, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities include overseeing service across all areas, ensuring compliance with RSA/RCG/WHS, and managing cash, stock, and events. Weekend, day, and night shifts are included, with a 3-weekly RDO and attractive leave and meal

Qualifications

• NSW RSA and RCG/ARCG certifications are required or willingness to obtain.
• NSW Working with Children Check and Police Check are required.
• First Aid Certification is required.
• Experience with gaming systems (S7000) including TAB & Keno is advantageous.
• Experience with SwiftPos and Tanda is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across bar, bistro, gaming, and event spaces.
• Lead, train, and support team members during shifts.
• Ensure compliance with RSA/RCG and WHS regulations.
• Open and close the venue, including cash handling and banking.
• Provide hands-on support across all service areas.

Renowned for its outstanding golf, bowls, and hospitality offerings, the Club has recently undergone an exciting renovation, providing a fresh and modern environment for both members and guests.

We are currently looking for an experienced and driven Duty Manager to support daily operations and help deliver outstanding service across our restaurant, bars, gaming, and events.

About the Role

As Duty Manager, you will play a vital role in the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of the Club. This is a hands‑on leadership position ideal for someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and is committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will oversee staff performance, coordinate service delivery, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and maintain a consistently high standard of service for all members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations across bar, bistro, gaming, and event spaces.
• Lead, train, and support team members during shifts.
• Maintain high standards of service, compliance (RSA/RCG), and WHS.
• Open and close the venue, including cash handling and banking.
• Provide hands‑on support across all service areas.
• Manage stock control and cellar operations.
• Assist with the delivery of events.
• Identify opportunities to improve service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements

The applicant must either have or be willing to obtain;

NSW Responsible service of alcohol (RSA)

NSW Responsible conduct of gambling (RCG)

Advanced Responsible conduct of gambling (ARCG)

First Aid Certification

Police Check and Working with Children Check

Experience with Gaming systems (S7000) including TAB & Keno and club industry experience may be advantageous.

Experience with SwiftPos systems and Tanda

The position is available for Full time and includes a 3-weekly RDO.

Hours of engagement include weekends, day shifts, and nights.
