Job summary

NRMA Parks & Resorts, Freycinet Lodge in Coles Bay, Tasmania, is hiring multiple casual team members to join us late November through to late December. We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals who can commit to at least six months, including the festive period.

Opportunities span fine dining wait staff and experienced bartenders, with strong wine knowledge and barista skills valued. Staff accommodation is available, and applicants may be considered as couples.

Qualifications

• Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great local produce.
• Strong bar, cocktail and mixology experience.
• Barista skills and ability to manage high orders in a short window.
• Valid RSA Certificate.
• Do Food Safely Certificate.
• WSET certificate highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.
• Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties.
• Setup and reset restaurants and conference & function activities as required.

We’re hiring multiple casual team members to join us late November through to late December.We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us deliver the outstanding service we’re known for. You'll ideally be able to commit to at least six months, including availability over the festive Christmas and New Year period.

We’re on the lookout for versatile:

• Fine Dining Wait Staff who thrive in a high-end hospitality environment
• Experienced Bartenders with a passion for premium service

Our Team also host private wine tastings for our guests – strong wine knowledge is a must!

What you’ll do:

You may work in a variety of our food and beverage outlets, providing exceptional service with a warm welcome. You’ll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can‑do attitude. On a daily basis you will:

• Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages.
• Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties.
• Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required.

What you’ll bring:

• Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce
• Strong bar, cocktail and mixology experience
• Understanding of sequence of service principles and general service operations
• Barista skills (ability to manage high number of orders in a short window)
• A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
• Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine.
• A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
• WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust)certificate highly regarded!
• Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
