Job summary

NRMA Parks & Resorts is hiring a casual Guest Service Agent for Freycinet Lodge on the East Coast of Tasmania. You will deliver exceptional guest experiences from reservation through stay, handling bookings, invoicing, and guest inquiries.

You will work in a team that values service excellence, clear communication, and a positive, energetic approach. Staff accommodation and meals are included, along with NRMA Rewards benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering guest services with a front desk focus.
• Familiarity with hotel/restaurant booking platforms (NewBook, RoomMaster, Opera) or similar.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage guests.
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Handle reservations, check-ins and check-outs, and prepare invoices.
• Answer phone and email inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure room readiness and guest needs are met.

What you’ll do:

We are looking for a casual Guest Service Agent to join our team at Freycinet Lodge. You will provide an exceptional experience to our guests from reservation and throughout their stay, creating lifetime memories. On a daily basis you will:

• Complete reception tasks such as taking bookings, preparing invoices, checking guests in and out
• Answer phone and email enquiries promptly and professionally
• Communicate with other departments to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrivals or to ensure guest needs are met

What you’ll bring:

• Strong Guest Service/Front Officeexperience with sound knowledge of NewBook, RoomMaster, Operaor a similar booking system
• A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• A positive, energetic attitude and the ability to thrive as part of a high-performing team
• Certificate II in Hospitality (Operations) or equivalent experience
• Strong problem-solving capability, including confident use of basic mathematical skills in the workplace
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
• Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion
