Job summary

Key responsibilities

• Greet, seat and welcome guests with genuine hospitality
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, including special requests and dietary needs
• Prepare and serve drinks from the bar, including coffee, cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options, to presentation standards
• Serve food and beverages promptly and to presentation standards
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and resolve any concerns
• Maintain clean, organised service and bar areas, including clearing and resetting tables
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and bar team to ensure timely and accurate service
• Process payments and handle transactions accurately
• Promote and upsell menu items, specials and beverages
• Respond to guest requests and provide helpful, attentive service
• Serve alcohol responsibly and follow all safety, hygiene and health regulations
• Work flexibly across AM and PM shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role, including bar experience
• Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate, or willingness to obtain one
• Flexibility to work both AM and PM shifts, including early starts
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift items as required
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing needs
• A reliable, positive and committed approach to delivering high quality service
