Job summary

Thiess is seeking an experienced FMS Technology & Autonomy Leading Hand to join the Lake Vermont Mine in Queensland. You will supervise and support a team to maintain fleet management systems, telecommunications and autonomous networks to enable safe operations.

Reporting to the Electrical, Technology and Autonomous Supervisor, the role covers installation, commissioning, service and ongoing maintenance, with a 7/7 roster and permanent full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' industry experience with fleet monitoring systems, telecommunications and/or autonomy radio and wireless networks.
• Must hold G1, G8 & G9.
• Experience with JDE or similar Asset Management Systems.
• Current Standard 11 and Driver's Licence.
• Coal mining certifications and verified skills transcripts.
• Proactive attitude with safety, teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Alignment with Thiess' values of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and Delivery.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced technology professional with a passion for autonomy, communications systems and mining technology? Thiess is seeking an experienced and motivated FMS Technology & Autonomy Leading Hand to join our high-performing team at Lake Vermont Mine, Queensland.

Reporting to the Electrical, Technology and Autonomous Supervisor as a key member of the Lake Vermont team, you will supervise and support your team to maintain the reliability and performance of fleet management systems, telecommunications infrastructure, and autonomous technology networks, enabling safe and efficient mining operations.

Roster: 7/7 Even Time (Dayshift Only) | Location: Lake Vermont Mine, QLD | Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time

As the FMS Technology & Autonomy Leading Hand, you will:

• Provide supervision and help to your team in line with the Lake Vermont SHMS.

About you

• Strong computer and communication skills
• Technical knowledge of wireless communications, radio, networking and autonomous technology systems.
