Job summary

Blackbook Executive Pty partners with a growing consumer business in Melbourne to recruit a Key Account Manager. You will own key retail relationships, collaborate with head-office buyers and category teams, and drive growth across allocated accounts.

You’ll develop JBPs, manage promotions and trading terms, monitor performance and forecasts, and work with Marketing, Demand Planning and Sales to execute customer initiatives.

Qualifications

• A few years of Key Account Management experience within FMCG.
• Direct experience managing retail accounts at head-office level, including buyers or category managers.
• Experience contributing to or managing JBPs, promotional plans and customer negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and strengthen relationships with key retail accounts, engaging directly with head-office buyers and category teams.
• Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs), supporting customer growth objectives and broader commercial strategies.
• Drive sales, distribution, market share and profitability across allocated accounts.
• Manage customer promotional plans, trading terms and commercial negotiations.
• Monitor account performance, sales forecasts and promotional investment to identify growth opportunities.
• Prepare and present customer business reviews, range reviews and category insights.
• Work closely with Marketing, Category and Demand Planning teams to deliver promotional activity, new product launches and customer initiatives.
