Job summary

The Feros Group is hiring for a front of house team member at Ocean Beach Hotel. You will welcome guests, seat them, take orders, process payments and help keep the venue running smoothly.

Specialized gaming or bar/cocktail experience is preferred. You must hold RSA, RCG, and ARCG certificates as applicable, with a flexible roster including weekends and evenings. Staff discounts and events are part of our supportive culture.

The Feros Group is a leading hospitality group that was founded in the early 1970s and currently operates 10 successful destinations across the Sutherland Shire, Sydney CBD, and NSW South Coast. What is the role?

As a front of house team member at Ocean Beach Hotel, you are the face of our venue so your ability to make people feel welcome and make them smile is paramount to your success. Your day-to-day duties include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and seating customers
• Cleaning, clearing, and resetting tables
• Taking orders and making payments
• Preparing beverages and cocktails
• Washing and restocking glassware
• Managing customers and pre-empting RSA issues
• Attending to gaming machines and providing payouts

For specialized roles in Gaming and/or Bar & Cocktail experience is required.

What is needed to be successful in this role?

• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA) – Essential for all roles
• Current Responsible Conduct of Gaming (RCG) – Essential for those wanting to work in Gaming roles
• Current Advanced Responsible Conduct of Gaming (ARCG) – Essential for those wanting to work in Gaming roles
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well within a team as well as autonomously when required
• Ability to work a flexible roster including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and public holidays
• Ability to work in a diverse team in a busy environment
• Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency
