Job summary

Ryde Family Medical Centre is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team. We are looking for someone who is friendly, and empathetic that can help make our patient's experience a positive one.

A permanent part-time or casual role has now become available offering flexible working hours. The successful candidate will have General Practice medical receptionist experience, proficiency with GP medical software, and knowledge of Medicare, DVA, Work Cover and private health billings.

Qualifications

• General Practice medical receptionist experience required.
• High level proficiency in using GP medical software.
• Proficiency in Medicare, DVA, Work Cover, and Private Health Insurance billings preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills for working with, and relating to, patients and peers.
• Must be familiar with Ms Windows, printers, scanners and other equipment.
• Good telephone skills, speak clearly and be empathetic to patients.
• Must have Australian work rights to be eligible for this position.

Responsibilities

• Work professionally with medical practitioners and other staff in the clinic.
• Duties include all aspects of medical reception, liaising with patients, doctors and allied allied health professionals.
• Able to follow doctors' instructions and work to required standards.
• Accurate record keeping and data entry of patient info, retrieve, update & file computer medical records and results
• Warmly greet patients and ensure they feel comfortable throughout their visit
