Job summary

Norwest Private Hospital in Bella Vista is seeking an experienced Clinical Coder to join our Health Information Services team. The role is onsite at our Bella Vista campus, with paper-based records and independent work alongside key stakeholders to ensure accurate coding of inpatient episodes.

Qualifications

• HIMAA Certification in Clinical Coding (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years' clinical coding experience in an acute hospital.
• Proficient in private hospital funding models.
• Experience with Codefinder, Turbocoder and WebPAS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely clinical coding of inpatient episodes.
• Abstract and assign diagnostic and procedural codes.
• Contribute to quality improvement and casemix analysis.
• Support coding audits and quality assurance activities.
