Job summary

William Buck seeks an experienced Audit Manager to join our Melbourne Audit & Assurance team. Reporting to a Partner, you will lead audit engagements from planning through to completion, providing technical guidance to the team and ensuring high-quality delivery.

You will coach and develop team members, manage key client relationships, review work for quality and drive exceptional outcomes, while building trusted client partnerships within a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline required.
• CA or CPA qualification required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Audit & Assurance or similar environment.
• Proven ability to review work, delegate tasks and coach teams.
• Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through completion.
• Review audit files, engagement letters and audit reports for Partner sign-off.
• Manage key client relationships and deliver exceptional service.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members; provide feedback.
• Monitor workloads, productivity and resource planning; support training initiatives.
• Identify value-adding opportunities for clients and collaborate with senior leaders.
