BDO in Melbourne is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the Melbourne Audit team. You will work on audits for listed and large clients, collaborating with managers, directors and partners to tailor procedures and manage risk.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified.
• External audit experience in a professional services firm (min 3 years).
• Experience reviewing financial statements of private and public companies.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage audits of listed, large private and not-for-profit clients.
• Work with engagement managers, senior managers, directors and partners to identify risk and tailor audit procedures.
• Liaise with clients to understand their business, identify controls and complete audit procedures.
• Challenge client accounting papers and align with accounting framework and principles.
• Lead the preparation of key client documents including Audit Plans and Completion Reports.
• Coach and monitor engagement teams through the audit lifecycle.
