Job summary

William Buck is seeking an experienced and collaborative Audit Senior to join their growing Audit and Assurance division in Sydney. You will work with Partners and Managers, serving a diverse client portfolio including Owner Managed Businesses, small to mid-cap ASX listed entities, large proprietary companies and not-for-profits.

You will develop and mentor junior team members, contribute to training, and thrive in a social, collaborative, hybrid work environment that supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of audit advisory experience.
• Relevant university degree.
• CA/ACA or ACCA qualifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Audit Managers and Partners on all phases of the engagement.
• Liaise directly with a broad range of clients on all aspects of the audit engagement.
• Evaluate and document the control environment and internal controls.
• Review and preparation of financial reports in accordance with relevant reporting frameworks.
• Prepare audit reports.
• Actively contribute to training and development of more junior team members.

The Opportunity:

Our growing Audit and Advisory division is seeking an experienced and collaborative Audit Senior to join their team!

Working within a young, dynamic and collaborative team, you will work closely with the Partners will have the opportunity to work with a diverse client portfolio specialising in Owner Managed Businesses, Small to Mid-Cap ASX Listed entities, large proprietary companies, Australian subsidiaries of foreign owned groups and Not-For-Profits.

What your day might look like:

• Working closely with Audit Managers and Partners on all phases of the engagement

• Review and preparation of financial reports in accordance with relevant reporting frameworks
• Preparing audit reports

We are looking for someone with:

• 3+ years Audit advisory experience
• A relevant university degree
• CA, ACA or ACCA qualifications, preferred
• Exceptional knowledge of local and international audit standards, IFRS
• The ability to manage a busy workload together with a strong client service focus
• The ability to effectively gain the co-operation of others in the execution of work tasks
