William Buck in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Audit & Assurance team. Reporting to a Partner, you will lead audit engagements from planning through to completion and provide guidance to a high-performing team.

You will review work, manage key client relationships, coach staff and contribute to professional development while upholding the firm’s CARE values and delivering high-quality, compliant audits.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related discipline.
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • At least 5 years' experience within Audit & Assurance or similar professional services environment.
  • Experience reviewing work, delegating tasks and providing coaching/feedback.
  • Strong technical audit and financial reporting knowledge.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Commercially minded with big-picture client focus.
  • Strong organisational skills; manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative team player aligned with CARE values.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring quality, efficiency and standards compliance.
  • Review audit files, engagement letters and audit reports before Partner review.
  • Manage key client relationships, seek feedback, deliver exceptional service.
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members through formal/informal feedback.
  • Monitor workloads, productivity and resource planning; support learning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Partners to identify opportunities to add client value.

Description Of The Role

We're seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Melbourne Audit & Assurance team. Reporting to a Partner, you'll play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality audit engagements, managing client relationships, and developing a high-performing team.

As an Audit Manager, you'll oversee audit engagements from planning through to completion, provide technical guidance to team members, review work for quality and accuracy, and help drive exceptional client outcomes. You will also contribute to the growth and development of your team through coaching, mentoring and performance management while building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.
