Job summary

The Resources Hub is recruiting a Workshop Supervisor – Fleet & Plant Maintenance to lead a busy workshop that supports a vital fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment. You will combine hands-on mechanical work with practical team leadership, guiding tradespeople and apprentices to perform at their best.

Initially a 12-month assignment with potential to become permanent, this role offers a stable environment and the opportunity to influence workshop performance and safety across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Trade Certificate is essential.
• Current C and HR Class Driver’s Licence required.
• Experience supervising workshop staff is essential.
• Hands-on mechanical maintenance experience across fleet, plant and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a workshop team of heavy-duties and apprentices.
• Remain actively involved in mechanical work and workshop activities.
• Coordinate daily workshop priorities, workloads, resources and requirements.
• Maximise availability of fixed and mobile plant through timely maintenance.
• Oversee servicing, repair and maintenance of fleet, plant and equipment.
• Maintain safe workshop operations and the Workshop Safety Management Plan.
• Review fleet maintenance systems and service records.
• Monitor subcontractor performance against service standards.
• Provide practical mechanical advice for new plant and fleet equipment.
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop performance, safety and cost efficiency.
• Step into Fleet Coordinator position when required.
