Job summary

Splend is expanding its servicing operations and seeks a Workshop Foreman to keep fleet maintenance safe, efficient, and high quality. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, you'll coordinate workshop activities, manage throughput, and allocate resources to maximise vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction.

This role suits someone with a strong technical background, a passion for organisation and continuous improvement, and a track record of leading teams in a fast‑growing mobility company.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in workshop or service operations, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Hands-on technical experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to manage workshop scheduling, resource allocation, and job throughput.
• Experience with cost control, KPI-driven performance management, and budgeting.
• Exposure to parts/inventory control, suppliers, and external vendor management.
• Strong understanding of safety systems, compliance, and incident investigation.
• Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements (Lean, TPM, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Managing workshop organisation, bay allocation, shift planning, and work scheduling
• Enforcing standard operating procedures and safety compliance
• Monitoring KPIs including turnaround times, quality outcomes, and maintenance efficiency
• Managing maintenance costs through planned maintenance, standard job plans, and OEM/warranty support
• Owning supplier interactions, including parts ordering, lead-time coordination, and performance monitoring
• Driving continuous improvement through process mapping, root cause analysis, and SOP development
