Job summary

Mandalay Resources Corp. is seeking a Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner for the Costerfield Operations in Central Victoria, near Bendigo.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the role focuses on planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance across the process plant, including preventative and shutdown planning. The successful candidate will have experience in fixed plant maintenance in mining or heavy industry, be proficient with CMMS and MS Office, and able to develop detailed job plans with

Qualifications

• Experience in fixed plant maintenance within mining or heavy industry.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and shutdown coordination.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance.
• Experience using CMMS and MS Office.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with process plant equipment (crushers, mills, conveyors and pumps).
• Experience with maintenance scheduling software.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance work for fixed plant equipment.
• Develop weekly maintenance schedules and coordinate resources.
• Prepare and manage plant shutdown plans.
• Create detailed job plans including labour, parts, tools and contractor requirements.
• Maintain maintenance plans and equipment records within the CMMS.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Stores and contractors to ensure work is ready to execute.
• Monitor maintenance performance, backlog and schedule compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, maintenance efficiency and plant performance.
• Assist with spare parts planning and inventory management.

Description

Costerfield
Costerfield Operations, owned and operated by Alkane Resources Ltd, is situated in Central Victoria, east of Bendigo and surrounded by numerous towns within a 50km radius, offering a variety of residential options.

Our current operation runs an underground mine and processing plant that is responsible for producing gold and antimony. The mine's workforce consists of approximately 300 permanent employees who hold various roles in professional, technical, mining, processing, and trades.

Please note: Costerfield Operations is a residential mine and does not facilitate FIFO

Requirements

The Role

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordinating maintenance activities across the Costerfield process plant. This includes preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance and shutdown planning to support safe and efficient operations.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Plan and schedule maintenance work for fixed plant equipment.
• Develop weekly maintenance schedules and coordinate resources.
• Prepare and manage plant shutdown plans.
• Create detailed job plans including labour, parts, tools and contractor requirements.
• Maintain maintenance plans and equipment records within the CMMS.

The Person

We are seeking an individual who possesses:

• Experience in fixed plant maintenance within mining, mineral processing or heavy industry.
• Experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and shutdown coordination.
• Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance practices.
• Experience using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with process plant equipment such as crushers, mills, conveyors and pumps.
• Experience with maintenance scheduling software.
• Knowledge of condition monitoring and reliability improvement practices.
