Job summary

Bundaberg Sugar is seeking multiple skilled Fitter & Turner to join our Maintenance Team in Bundaberg. The role covers maintenance, repairs and capital works across industrial plant, with day work 7:00 am-3:30 pm; shift work may be required in a dynamic operation.

Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine and repair maintenance is essential. You will contribute to safety, reliability and efficiency in a large cane processing facility.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance, repairs and capital works across industrial plant and equipment.
• Work on mills, boilers, turbines, conveyors, pumps, fans, gearboxes and motors.
• Maintain pressure vessels, valves and related equipment; perform welding and hydraulic tasks.
• Record maintenance activities through CMMS and support safety initiatives.

Multiple Positions Available

As one of Australia's largest cane growers, Bundaberg Sugar proudly operates a Sugar Mill, Refinery, and Packaging Plant. We are more than just a company, we are a vital part of the industry and community in Bundaberg.

We are seeking multiple skilled Fitter & Turners to join our maintenance team and help keep our plant and equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

This role is primarily day work, 7.00 am-3.30 pm, however, given the nature of our operations, shift work may be required.

About the Role

Reporting to the maintenance team, you will undertake maintenance, repairs and capital works across a range of industrial plant and equipment, including:

• Mills, boilers, turbines and fugals
• Conveyors, pumps, fans, gearboxes and motors
• Pressure vessels, valves and associated equipment
• Advanced fitting tasks, including welding and hydraulic work
• Recording and managing maintenance activities through a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Supporting workplace health and safety initiatives

Experience in general fitting, basic welding, TIG welding, steam turbine and repair maintenance is essential.
