Findstaff is seeking an experienced Fitter in Unanderra for a full-time role supporting overhaul, repair and assembly projects across heavy industrial equipment.

You’ll work on bearing installations, slurry pump assemblies, and dynamic balancing, with access to a fully equipped workshop and a team of skilled tradespeople committed to quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Experience with heavy industrial equipment across overhaul, repair and assembly projects.
• Strong mechanical sense and practical problem-solving skills.
• Good judgement, initiative and reliability in a hands-on role.
• Ability to work well within a friendly, skilled team.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul, repair, and assemble bearing installations & rotating equipment.
• Perform dynamic balancing of components.
• Assist with brand new slurry pump assembly and related tasks.
• Contribute to a safe, efficient workshop environment.

Are you an experienced Fitter with strong mechanical aptitude and a solid understanding of heavy industrial equipment? We're looking for a reliable, hands-on tradesperson to join our team and contribute to a wide range of overhaul, repair, and assembly projects across multiple sectors.

About our client

Provide's specialist overhaul and maintenance services to the Steelmaking, Paper, and Mining industries. Our workshop handles a broad variety of rotating and mechanical equipment, backed by a team of down-to-earth tradesmen who work independently but never hesitate to lend a hand.

What You'll Work On

You’ll be involved in the overhaul, repair, and assembly of:

• Bearing installations & rotating equipment
• Brand new slurry pump assembly
• Dynamic balancing of various components

Workshop Equipment

You’ll have access to a fully equipped workshop, including:

• Manual lathes
• Surface grinder
• Hydraulic presses
• Dynamic balancing machine

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a Fitter who has:

• Experience in any of the above areas of heavy industrial equipment
• Strong mechanical sense and practical problem‑solving skills
• Good judgement, initiative, and life skills
• A positive attitude and ability to work well within a friendly team
