Job summary

Workhorse Staffing is seeking an experienced Fitter Machinist to join a well-established mechanical workshop in Wollongong. This permanent, workshop-based role offers consistent Monday to Friday hours and hands-on fitting, machining and repair work.

You'll work with mechanical repairs, rebuilding components, and performing precision machining and welding, with a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship in a busy workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on fitting and machining experience.
• Welding experience.
• Experience with rotating equipment or mechanical repairs is highly regarded.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs, servicing and overhauls.
• Rebuild and repair mechanical components and assemblies.
• Carry out manual lathe machining and precision work.
• Dynamic balancing of rotating components.
• Welding and fabrication tasks as required.
• Inspect, fault-find and ensure high safety standards.

FITTER MACHINIST - $45PH

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Fitter Machinist to join a well-established mechanical workshop. This is a permanent workshop-based role offering consistent Monday to Friday hours and varied hands-on fitting, machining and repair work.
