Job summary

IMPACT Community Services in Hervey Bay is seeking a dedicated Cultural Capability and Connections Lead to strengthen culturally safe services across Family Mental Health Support programs on Butchulla Country. This full-time fixed-term role supports First Nations participants, families and communities through coaching, partnership building and responsive service delivery.

You will work within IMPACT's Community and Cultural Connections Unit, focusing on workforce development, stakeholder

Qualifications

Experience in community services, child and family or mental health sectors.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person (identified position).
Ability to guide, support and mentor others with cultural safety focus.

Responsibilities

Support staff to apply culturally safe practices aligned with frameworks.
Build and maintain positive relationships with First Nations participants and communities.
Engage with participants to understand experiences, needs and priorities.
Contribute to workforce coaching and cultural capability initiatives.
Develop networks with community organisations and service providers.
Support referral pathways and community partnerships.
Contribute to service improvement from participant feedback.
