Job summary

First Aid Academy Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time trainer to join our Cairns team, delivering nationally accredited first aid courses and related training across North Queensland. You will travel to remote sites and events, deliver engaging sessions, and support facilities management.

Ideal candidates hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment and have strong public speaking, team collaboration, and IT skills. We offer professional development and a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is required.
• Experience in public speaking or conducting group activities.
• Sound computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience in first aid training is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across North Queensland.
• Training and assessment across nationally accredited courses per ASQA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver training onsite or offsite, including remote locations.
• Provide first aid courses per ASQA requirements.
• Support event promotions and company tasks.
• Maintain training facilities and equipment.
• Work with other departments on admin and IT tasks.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.

First Aid Academy Pty Ltd – RTO# 40920 is an innovative, professional first aid training centre and first aid supplies store. We fosterconfidence to careby offering nationally accredited courses and other services, including the sale and hire of rescue equipment, as well as providing first aid staff at local events. We cater for a wide variety of local organisations, nationally owned corporate businesses, government agencies, and the general public of Cairns & Far North Queensland.

We are looking for a full-time, energetic and industrious trainer to join our growing team of expert first aiders in this exciting role! If you like to travel all over NQ, meet plenty of people and see events up close, this might be the role for you! Willingness to adapt to a continually changing environment as part of our dynamic team will be key to success in this role.

Vocational education and experiential requirements:

Cert IV Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or TAE40116 or TAE40110) Older TAEs accepted!!

Experience in public speaking or conducting group activities

Sound computer skills

Ability to work as part of a team to achieve a common goal

Previous first aid training experience is advantageous

Ability to learn to work with Retail Management Systems is an advantage

Training and assessment in a range of nationally accredited and non-accredited first aid courses per ASQA (Australian Skills Quality Authority) requirements (professional development will be provided)

First aid provision at local events

Company promotion at various events

Assisting other departments with general tasks

Cleaning and housekeeping of training facilities and equipment

Training onsite or offsite, sometimes in remote areas

General tasks as required.

Marine industry workers with equipment servicing knowledge are a bonus.
