Job summary

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) is required or equivalent.
• HLTAID009, HLTAID010, HLTAID011 first aid certifications required.
• Additional HLTAID courses listed are highly desirable; multiple certificates may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive First Aid training and assessment programs.
• Assist in the development and continuous improvement of training materials and resources.
• Administer assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners.
• Utilise engaging and contemporary adult learning techniques to maximise learner outcomes.
• Participate in moderation and validation activities to support RTO compliance and assessment consistency.
• Maintain accurate student records within quality, learning and student management systems.
• Ensure ongoing currency in First Aid industry practices.
• Support training delivery across multiple locations, including interstate and international sites when required.

About the Role

The Trainer & Assessor (First Aid) is a key role within Training & Safety Solutions (TSS).

Due to growth within our business, we are seeking multiple engaging, positive, skilled trainers to assist with our increased demand.This is a flexible and rewarding role, allowing you to work in a variety of locations, times and settings.

This position is responsible for delivering high-quality accredited and non-accredited First Aid training and assessment programs while ensuring compliance with the Standards for RTO's 2025, TSSpolicy and proceduresand industry standards.

The successful candidate will use contemporary adult learning methodologies to create engaging learning experiences and develop workforce capability across a range of operational environments. The role may also support training delivery for frontline correctional and immigration detention personnel and includes opportunities for interstate travel and occasional international travel to Nauru.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive First Aid training and assessment programs.

Assist in the development and continuous improvement of training materials and resources.

Administer assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners.

Utilise engaging and contemporary adult learning techniques to maximise learner outcomes.

Participate in moderation and validation activities to support RTO compliance and assessment consistency.

Ensure ongoing currency in both vocational education and First Aid industry practices.

Support training delivery across multiple locations, including interstate and international sites when required.

About You

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).

Qualified and capable of delivering:

HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

Demonstrated experience delivering engaging training and assessment programs.

Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.

Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
