Job summary

Vital First Aid is a leading RTO delivering first aid training across Australia. We are hiring a First Aid Trainer for casual roles with online and face-to-face sessions. You will deliver engaging, high-quality training to diverse participants across corporate, education, and community settings.

You will assess competency, maintain records, and stay up to date with ASQA requirements, ensuring practical, life-saving learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is required.
• Current first aid qualifications and CPR knowledge.
• Experience delivering training in an RTO environment.

Responsibilities

Vital First Aid is a leading Registered Training Organisation (RTO 90531) delivering high-quality, practical first aid training across Australia. Backed by experienced paramedics, our courses are designed to go beyond theory, focusing on realistic, scenario-based learning that prepares participants to respond confidently in real emergencies.

We deliver a full suite of accredited and non-accredited training, including CPR, First Aid, Advanced First Aid, and Occupational First Aid, as well as providing paramedic services for events and organisations.

The Role

We are seeking a First Aid Trainer to deliver engaging, high-quality training to a diverse range of participants across corporate, education, and community settings.

This is a casual role with a mix of remote delivery (online training) and face-to-face sessions where required.

You will play a key role in ensuring participants not only meet competency requirements, but leave feeling confident and capable of responding in real-world situations.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and compliant first aid training sessions (both online and in-person)

Facilitate practical, scenario-based learning aligned with real-life emergency situations

Assess participant competency in line with RTO standards and training packages

Maintain accurate training records and complete all required documentation

Ensure training delivery aligns with ASQA and RTO compliance requirements

Stay up to date with industry best practice, clinical guidelines, and training techniques

Contribute to continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods

About You

You are a confident communicator who can engage a room, simplify complex concepts, and create an enjoyable learning environment. You bring real-world clinical experience and are passionate about teaching others skills that genuinely save lives.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)

Current and relevant first aid qualifications

Strong knowledge of:

CPR

First Aid

Occupational First Aid

Previous or current experience as a paramedic or healthcare professional

Current Working with Children Check

Current Police Check

Strong communication and presentation skills

Ability to deliver training via online platforms (Zoom, Teams, etc.)

Excellent organisation and time management

Experience delivering training within an RTO environment

Experience working with corporate or education sector clients

Experience in scenario-based or simulation training
