Job summary

Bishop Consulting seeks a Dry Fire Testing Technician for a field service role across Sydney. You will perform AS1851 testing, fault finding, and repairs on dry fire systems, with a focus on detectors, EWIS, and exit lighting.

The ideal candidate has electrical testing/maintenance experience, a Cert 3 in Fire Electrician/Electronics/Programming Technology, and strong English communication. Local knowledge of Sydney metro is preferred, with a paid company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical testing and inspections and/or maintenance and installation of alarms.
• Cert 3 Fire Electrician/Electronics/Programming Technology experience.
• Good written and verbal English skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform AS1851 testing and dry fire system testing across detectors, EWIS, exits, and passive systems.
• Diagnose faults and carry out breakdown repairs on dry fire systems.
• Work on monthly, biannual, annual and 5-year inspections with on-site client interaction.

Due to growth and several new ongoing maintenance contracts our Sydney Fire Protection Maintenance client is seeking a new Dry Fire Alarm Programming and All Fire Testing Snr Tech to join their business in a Field Service role across Sydney. Job Summary

As at Testing Fire Technician you will be responsible for :

Dry Tech" to complete AS1851 testing of the following (Detection, EWIS, Exit Lighting, Passive , Doors)

Australian local candidates only my client will not sponsor.

Must have experience in diagnosingand fault find fire and evacuation systems and Alarms across Notifier, Ampac Pertronics FIPs.

Expereinced generalist Tech in Wet Dry Passive and Portables Testing

Must pass a D & A medical

Strong understanding of integrated fire systems with the ability to perform and report on annual tests of dry fire systems.

2 or more years working with the fire industry in a similar role

Service and breakdown experience in smoke detection, emergency warning and emergency lighting.

Understanding and working of Australian Standards ( AS1670 and AS1851).

Willing and capable to carryout diagnosis, fault finding and breakdown repairs on dry fire systems.

Ability to undertake monthly / 6 monthly / annual and 5 yearly inspections and testing on electrical fire equipment.

The ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out his or her duties.

Have good presentation and work ethic.

Fully maintained vehicle.

Must have strong written and verbal english skills.

Must have local customer knowledge and geographical knowledge of Sydney metro area.

Clean and tidy presentation for customers.

The Fire Technician will be working closely with clients on site and should enjoy interaction with clients.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced Dry Fire Testing Technician with the following qualifications:

Background in electrical testing and inspections and/or maintenance and installation of alarms

Cert 3 Fire Electrician/Electronics/Programming Technology experience

Drug and alcohol assessment pass
