Job summary

Bishop Consulting seeks a Fire Technician for field service across Metro Melbourne. You will test pumps, perform flow/pressure checks, and conduct preventative maintenance on wet/dry systems, with basic programming on dry systems.

Applicants should have 5+ years in the fire industry, strong English skills, and the ability to work on-site with clients. A white card and Melbourne-area knowledge are required; vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Background in wet fire, pumps, passive, portables testing.
• Bonus on electrical testing and inspections and/or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Testing Fire Pumps, flow testing, pressure and preventative maintenance.
• Carry out testing and basic programming on dry fire systems.
• Work unsupervised and self-manage stock and equipment.
• Interact with clients on site.
• Maintain knowledge of Australian Standards AS1670 and AS1851.

Job description

Due to growth and multiple new ongoing contracts our Melbourne Fire Protection client is seeking a new Fire Technician to join their business in a Field Service role across all of Metro Melbourne.

Job Summary

Testing Fire Pumps, flow testing, pressure and preventative maintenance,

Willing and capable to carryout testing and basic programming on dry fire systems.

The ability to work un-supervised and self-manage stock and equipment necessary to carry out his or her duties.

A good understanding and working of Australian Standards (AS1670 and AS1851)

5 or more years working with the fire industry in a similar role.

Have good presentation and work ethic.

Fully maintained hilux single cab brand new vehicle.

Must have strong written and verbal English skills.

Must have local customer knowledge and geographical knowledge of Melbourne metro area.

White card (OHS Induction)

The Fire Technicianwill be working closely with clients on site and should enjoy interaction with clients.

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking an experienced Fire Testing Technician with the following qualifications:

Background in wet fire, pumps, passive, portables testing and a bonus on electrical testing and inspections and/or maintenance.

You:

Will be currently working in a business with an established market history, our client requires a person who is "field orientated".

Reporting directly to the National Service Manager, you will have the opportunity to develop further within the company
